Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay-Thai MMA fighter from Peru, and mixed martial arts athlete competing for UFC. UFC for the Flyweight Division, is in Kyrgyzstani. She is the younger sister of former UFC Flyweight champ as well as the fellow UFC competitor Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko started her combat sport career with a Muay Thai kickboxer. She made her debut at the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko won the tournament and beat Suzane Miller in the finals via unanimous decision. Antonina won a medal of silver in 2007 followed by a medal of bronze in 2008 and a medal gold in the year 2011. Then she was named IFMA World Amateur Muay Thailand Champion of 2016 by IFMA. Antonia launched her professional career back in 2003. Antonina has been awarded numerous championships, including the World WKC K-1 Light Welterweight Champion, the Lion Fight Lightweight World Championships and WMC as well as Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina's final bout took place at Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. The fight was won unanimously. Antonina Shevchenko set her first professional MMA record in 2002 during the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan in a fight with Anara Bayanova. She was 3-0 after winning the second-round TKO. Her next two bouts came at WXF: X-Impact World Championships in 2003. Shevchenko was forced to take a break in order to focus on kickboxing. Shevchenko returned against Anissahaddaoui in Phoenix FC 3. Shevchenko defeated Anissa via unanimous decision before prevailing over Valerie Domergue at Phoenix FC 4. She left in 2018 the tournament and started competing in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko fought Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina utilized superior strikes to TKO Nievera by knees to her body while in the clinch. Antonina was offered a UFC invitation following her win. Antonina received the UFC contract following her victory. Shevchenko was victorious via unanimous decision but lost her next fight against Roxanne Modafferi by split decision. Antonina bounced back from the loss, and defeated Lucie Pudilova in the UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke and won the fight of the night reward for the bout. Shevchenko lost 1-2 in her next 3-fights beating Ariane Lipski and losing to Katlyn Chookagian as well as Andrea Lee. Recently Antonina lost to Casey O'Neill at UFC Fight Night Santos vs. Walker via second-round TKO.
