Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell, an American television chef and former Institute of Culinary Education instructor, is a TV personality. She hosts the Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Chef, and is also co-hosting Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network star with her trademark long, blonde hair with a exuberant personality, shares easy techniques to master and reduces intimidation of restaurants dishes in her show Secrets of a Restaurant. Chef Burrell is also a part of several of the most prestigious restaurants within New York, studied the culinary landscape and traditions of Italy, and battled in Food Network's Iron Chef America. Burrell was born within New York State's Upstate, developed an early passion for cooking. The Culinary Institute of America has sparked her interest in restaurant management after she earned an English/Communications degree at Canisius College Buffalo NY. I loved every minute that I was a student in The Culinary Institute of America she declares. I could not be more educated or accomplished in my studies. Following graduation, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany as well as La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) while attending Umbria. She also attended the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. When she was in Italy the chef developed an appreciation for and knowledge of Italian food. It made a huge influence on her perception of food. Burrell was the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board members, which strives to enhance the quality of life for children who face obstacles. Burrell also serves as an Juvenile Disease Research Foundation's celebrity ambassador and advocates awareness of children's diabetes. She frequently travels around the United States in her position in the capacity of mentor and guest speaker where she discusses her professional life and the joy of cooking. Anne has always been grateful she had the opportunity to share her love of her life, cooking with others.
